Point of User Water Cooler Maintenance Guide
Point of use water Coolers require minimal maintenance. If the water dispenser has a filtration system, the water filters become the main component of the POU system requiring maintenance. Each filter cartridge should be replaced every six months. It is recommended that each new filter cartridge is rinsed before installing. This simple process involves closing the incoming water valve at the assembly, removing the filter canister, replacing the cartridge inside the canister, re-installing the canister, and finally turning on the incoming water valve. If unwanted mold or mildew buildup develops in the reservoir, it should be washed and rinsed either by hand or in a dishwasher. Check with the manufacturer instructions to be certain that the reservoir is dishwasher safe. These are general instructions for filter replacement and maintenance. You should always refer to your owner’s manual for more specific maintenance intervals and instructions.
